India – 6th Edition of YES Bank Indian Masters Polo 2017 at Jaipur Polo Grounds

The Polo season is in full swing, with the onset of winters in Delh1--i. The Jaipur Polo Grounds was the venue for the sixth edition of the YES Bank Indian Masters Polo 2017 tournament, which commenced on 14 November. Six teams competed for the trophy. Achievers team and the Delhiites Polo clashed in the finals on Sunday, 19 November 2017. The thrilling finals ended with the Achievers team lifting the trophy after defeating Delhiites Polo by seven goals to six. The “Most Valuable Player” title was awardedto Uday Kalaan of Achievers. Samir Suhag’s mare, ‘Calibriya’ was declared the “Best Polo Pony” of the match.


The trophyand prizes were given away by Ashok Chawla, Non-Executive Chairman, YES BANK, H.E. Sir Dominic Asquith, British High Commissioner to India, Bindu Kapoor, Radha Kapoor Khanna, Raakhe Kapoor Tandon and Roshini Kapoor.

The event was attended by several prominent personalities of Delhi, such as Shri Jagdish Prasad Meena, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries; H.E. Mr. Joao Do Carmo Ataide Da Camara, Portugese Ambassador to India; H.E. Mr. Tovar da Silva Nunes, Brazilian Ambassador to India; Shri Atul Chaturvedi, Additional Secretary, Department of Industrial Promotion & Policy; Dr. Jasper Wieck, Deputy Chief Of Mission, Germany; Mrs. Françoise GRUSON, Consul, French Embassy, Naveen Jindal, Chairman, Jindal Steel & Power Limited; Sanjay Kapur, Chairman, Sona Group and Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Adhiraj Singh, Mriganka Singh, Shivani Wazir, Roshni Chopra, Poonam Bhagat, Anand Bhushan.
