For this initiative that will showcase the prowess of the country’s robust manufacturing sector, FDCI has roped in 12 veteran design gurus with a distinct sensibility such as Sabyasachi, Rohit Bal, Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Namrata Joshipura, JJ Valaya, Ashish Soni, Arjun Saluja, Anju Modi, Anita Dongre, Abraham & Thakore and Abhishek Gupta. FDCI stays true to its commitment to promote the ‘Make in India’ label as handlooms take centre stage, in a country where heritage is soaked in the flavours of indigenous crafts.

Designers will incorporate Banaras in their style repertoire, braided with the woven wonders that the holy city is known for. The mavericks will draw inspiration from the vast world of textiles. As they reinterpret interesting and intricate details like knitting and weaving to add an undeniable flavour to the craft-soaked ensembles. Conceptualised and executed by the FDCI, the show will celebrate the crafts of Banaras, its luxurious weaves and the vivacious skills of the weavers, hoping to give viewers a phenomenal experience.
