Designer Aneeth Arora held a virtual launch of her label péro’s Fall-Winter ‘D I S C O’ collection at Ogaan store, Malcha Marg on 9th October Friday. The idea of giving users the opportunity to shop within this immersive, 3D 360˚ format was to break away from the monotony of the traditional e-commerce interface.
This VR shopification experience enables easy movement around the physical store at one’s own pace – browse, zoom, add to card, explore the intricate details of a new collection from the comfort of your home. The collection was launched in collaboration with Lakme Fashion Week.
This season péro took inspiration from the disco fashion of the late 1970s. During the D I S C O era, Discothèque-goers often wore glamorously extravagant clothing adorned with glitter and sequins that would shimmer under the lights. The silhouettes, colours, and patterns of the era be it the retro stripes, bold checks, and also the bright colours like purple, mint, and red are all incorporated in this season’s collection.
