swarovski-kristallweltenThe Indian tourists to Vienna will have something more to look forward to this year. Celebrating its motto ‘Life is Beautiful’, Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) has got on board the Indian designer Manish Arora to design exclusive displays in its three locations in Wattens, Innsbruck, and Vienna. Marking the start of Spring, at the end of March 2017, Manish’s colorful creations will sparkle brilliantly on the stages and in the display windows at Vienna’s KärntnerStraße, in the Old Town of Innsbruck, and at Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens.

The Austrian Embassy in New Delhi hosted an evening soiree on 30th January 2017 to celebrate this collaboration. Carla Rumler, Cultural Director Swarovski said, “As part of one of our exclusive designer collections, back in 2004, we worked with Manish Arora to develop innovative heart-shaped crystal components for an opulent jewelry collection – even before his debut at the London Fashion Week in 2005. We are proud to have proved once again Swarovski’s knack for finding emerging design talents. The exhibition ‘Life is Beautiful’ for Swarovski Crystal Worlds is certainly the crowning glory of our longstanding and successful cooperation.”

Swarovski bid me an incredibly warm welcome in Austria and I immediately felt part of a big family. I love the diversity and the unique sparkle of Swarovski crystals, and I very much enjoyed the challenge of highlighting the many facets and dazzling colors of this material. Swarovski Crystal Worlds has impressively demonstrated that – just like me – they are not afraid of colors.”

Manish Arora is known for his vibrant and colorful designs, and the tag line of his very first fashion show was ‘Life is Beautiful’. This will remain the central theme of the colorful displays for the exhibition spaces and windows in the three locations, where Manish Arora will entice passersby, customers, and guests into a glamorous fantasy world of bright flowers and birds, sweet temptations, and exotic landscapes and animals. The art spaces in Vienna will epitomize happiness, joy, and glorious celebrations, illustrating what makes life beautiful.

He aims to capture the perfect moment – the one moment when everything in the world seems to shift into just the right place.
